NEW CIGGYBUTTZ.COM SITE IS LIVE – AND HOPES TO KEEP OTHERS THE SAME!
New Site Released Just in Time for Quit Smoking Resolutions
Seattle, Wash., February 15, 2010 – Tobacco kills more than twice as many people each year than heroin, cocaine, crack, alcohol, AIDS, homicide, suicides, car accidents and fires – COMBINED. CiggyButtz.com, a prevention website dedicated to “Stomping Out the Evils of Tobacco”, provides cutting-edge, relevant products to spark dialogue instead of a smoke. Its newly enhanced site release and budget-conscious product line arrive just in time to support New Year Resolutions to quit smoking.
The updated site features a new look, easier navigation, a shopping cart, new products and competitive pricing. Popular products like the Ciggy Buttz costume and punching bags are still available, as well as the pre-packaged Quit Kits and Commit to Quit contracts. Fun, educational items include temporary tattoos, lollipops and Tobacco Education Activity Packs, created to help young children and teens make informed, healthy choices.
“I worked for the Health Department for several years, and the fliers we used to reach kids were just so stale and dry. It didn’t get the kids’ attention, and the youth smoking epidemic just continued to rise. I wanted to create something that would resonate with them, on their level,” said Elise Lindborg, CiggyButtz.com founder.
But perhaps the most dramatic and impactful pieces offered are the Tobacco Facts Rave Cards – inexpensive, pocket-size cards with startling messages and images. One card even features Lindborg’s own mother (who battled emphysema for six years) lying in a hospital bed after experimental Lung Volume Reduction surgery, riddled with tubes and supported by machines. The title of the card: “Fun with Emphysema”. She died July 5, 2002 – but not before asking Elise to take that photo and use it in her 15-year mission to help prevent smoking.
Whether it’s for an entire school district’s anti-tobacco campaign or a personal battle to help a loved one quit, CiggyButtz.com was created to support every effort in its mission to stomp out tobacco-related deaths.
